Human Resources Generalist - Hybrid work schedule

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Billshark core values are being upheld through recruitment and hiring, management application, and team member development.
  • Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
  • Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing phone screenings.
  • Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements.
  • Represent the applicant until it is time for an interview. They should accurately represent the candidate‚Äôs skills and qualifications and sell those criteria to the hiring manager.
  • Be encouraging, positive and realistic about potential matches.
  • Perform reference checks as needed.
  • Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms.
  • When necessary, administer personnel paperwork, including completing and processing new hire paperwork, hourly wage increases.
  • Ensure that comp is at a market-rate and competitive base relative to geography.
  • Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Review and implement guidelines for employee evaluations, recruitment and promotion.
  • Help in maintaining and developing job descriptions, handbooks, policies, procedures and training programs.
  • Collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs

Requirements:

  • HR Certification and/or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2 years of recruiting experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to maintain files and keep confidentiality.
  • Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient PC skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, and Excel.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving.
  • Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to win people over.
  • Enjoy laughing and not taking the 'bumps in the road' too seriously.
